The Pacific Quality Mark project has been established to help raise consumer awareness of quality products of Pacific origin.
The project evolved from an idea introduced at the Pacific Wave conference in June 2009 to create a regional Pacific brand to make Pacific products more visible in the New Zealand market.
The Pacific Cooperation Foundation administers a US$500,000 grant from the World Bank (The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development). The grant is made through the World Bank’s Institutional Development Fund (IDF).
This project is being implemented under PCF’s Strategic Goal 3 – Engaging with and supporting communities and institutions in the region. The project builds on recommendations from PCF’s Melanesian Symposium that was held in September 2008.
