The Pacific Cooperation Foundation promotes increased understanding, cooperation and partnerships between New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

It promotes:

  • New Zealand's identity as a Pacific nation.

  • Media, cultural and public affairs programmes that increase mutual awareness and understanding.

  • Cooperative projects that benefit New Zealand and Pacific Islands businesses.

  • Wider understanding through education and academic excellence in Pacific issues.

The PCF also:

  • Works to establish itself as a centre for information and provide a forum for the exchange of views about issues affecting New Zealand and other countries of the Pacific.

  • Acts as a focal point and catalyst for the development of networks among New Zealanders and other people of the Pacific, to the benefit of all.

  • Carries out any other activities that advance its vision.
