Mission

The Mission of the Trust is to benefit the people of New Zealand and the peoples of the Pacific Islands by increasing cooperation and understanding.


Vision

A peaceful Pacific Region in which New Zealand and Pacific Island communities, regional institutions and governments engage with each other to promote economic and social development through mutual understanding and cooperation.


Strategic Goals

Goal 1
To promote stability and economic sustainability in New Zealand and the greater Pacific region.

Goal 2
To foster understanding of the Pacific on the part of all New Zealanders and promote New Zealand's identity as a Pacific nation by informed independent commentary and debate.

Goal 3
To engage with and support, communities and institutions in New Zealand and the greater Pacific region.


The Trust is an independent partnership between public and private sectors in New Zealand and the other Pacific Island countries and is based on principles of accountability, integrity and mutual respect.
