Embracing a Bright Future

As we reflect on the past week, we're filled with gratitude and excitement for the transformative experiences shared with our Pacific Manaaki scholars. Their summer internship journey with PCF has not only enriched their lives but has also invigorated our collective mission to redefine the Pacific narrative. From dynamic summits to memorable gala dinners, we've immersed them in the vibrant 'TupuToa' movement, capturing their personal stories along the way with our dedicated digital team.

But the journey doesn't end there. This week, we are delighted to welcome a new cohort of Manaaki Scholars from diverse corners of the Pacific for a special training course in Politics and Public Policy at the esteemed University of Auckland, under the guidance of Dr. Jennifer Curtin. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to forging deeper connections with our Pacific neighbours, fostering knowledge exchange, and building capacity within the region.

We had the privilege of sharing the "Perceptions of New Zealanders" report that serves as a signal of understanding, illuminating the attitudes and perspectives of Kiwis towards the Pacific. It's a pivotal tool in nurturing empathy, fostering connections, and promoting mutual understanding between our communities. Sharing its significance with our scholars was truly a highlight of the occasion.

Additionally, we had the honour of showcasing other pivotal initiatives facilitated by PCF, including our innovative Stakeholder Mapping and internship programs. These initiatives were well received given the calibre of these scholars, who hold pivotal roles within their respective central governments. Their enthusiasm and interest in our work further fuel our commitment to fostering meaningful collaborations and creating impactful opportunities across the Pacific.

As we move forward, inspired by the stories shared and the connections forged, we reiterate our dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships, sharing knowledge, and creating pathways for collaboration across the Pacific. Together, with our partners and stakeholders, we are embarking on a shared journey towards prosperity, growth, and mutual understanding. The future is bright, and at PCF, we're excited to continue pioneering change and shaping a better tomorrow for all.
