Bula Vinaka!

It's that time of the year again when we come together to celebrate the significance of the Fijian language during Macawa ni Vosa Vakaviti – Fijian Language Week 2023. This year's theme, "Me vakabulabulataki, vakamareqeti, ka vakaqaqacotaki na vosa vakaviti" which translates to "Nurture, Preserve, and Sustain the Fijian language," holds profound meaning and relevance for our Pacific diaspora community.

At PCF, we understand the importance of preserving and promoting our unique Pacific identity through cultures and languages. The continuous use of our language reflects the depth of our culture and the strength it brings in connecting communities.

In line with our dedication to supporting initiatives that celebrate and preserve our Pacific cultures, we encourage you to watch the first episode of "reCoup: Part One - Charting a New Course." This series, made possible through a collaboration between PCF and Pacific Media Network, which delves into Fiji's evolving political and societal changes.

The first episode explores the recent success of the Fijian Drua Super Rugby team and what this achievement might mean for Fiji as a whole. It's an inspiring journey showcasing sporting prowess and how it unites and advances economic activities.

Let us unite, nurture, preserve, and sustain our Fijian language and celebrate our unique place in the world.

Together, our mana grows stronger.

Vinaka vakalevu,
