In 2025, we sent our first two Pacific delegates to join HEX’s global innovation programme in Bangkok — a milestone that reflects PCF’s commitment to building world‑class pathways for Pacific leadership, entrepreneurship, and mobility. This partnership strengthens PCF’s role in the Pacific innovation ecosystem and aligns with national and regional priorities across government, business, and community. As demand for global opportunities grows, PCF is investing in the next generation of Pacific changemakers — and calling on partners to help us expand these life‑changing experiences for future cohorts.

PCF had the pleasure of hosting Rae Bainteiti from the Rabi Island Community Hub and Banaban Human Rights Defenders Network! Rae shared invaluable insights into the groundbreaking work he's spearheading, advocating for Banabans in Kiribati, Fiji, and across the wider Pacific region.

World Vision and UnionAid accompanied Rae on this visit and illuminated the challenges, triumphs, and ongoing efforts in championing human rights and fostering community resilience. How inspiring to see such dedication and passion in action!

The Government of Kiribati formally reinstated its positive endorsement to rejoin the Pacific Islands Forum earlier in January this year.

President Taneti Maamau expressed their commitment to rejoining and remaining with the forum amidst growing geopolitical interest in the region.

In an exclusive interview with Pasifika TV, Maamau says they are happy to return to the forum and join their Pacific brothers in making the Pacific a great place to live and work.
