PCF Launches first Pacific Perceptions Report
Pacific Cooperation Foundation has launched the first Pacific Perceptions Report in New Zealand. Commissioned by PCF and conducted by Kantar, the report called ‘New Zealanders’ Perceptions of the Pacific’ focuses on attitudes and feelings towards and about Pacific peoples in New Zealand.
Lagi-Maama’s AIGA (Aotearoa Indigenous GLAM Association) Initiative
Lagi-Maama Academy & Consultancy (Lagi-Maama) are very excited to be co-hosting with Tamaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum, the team from Falemata’aga Museum of Samoa for two weeks from Thursday 17 November to Friday 2 December - as part of AIGA. This has been made possible with the generous support of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Auckland Melanesian Festival: Interview with Ema Tavola of Vunilagi Vou
In October of this year Auckland celebrated its first Melanesian Festival in West Auckland. The festival celebrated the people of Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Te Moana-nui-a-kiwa: The Great Connector
Te Moana-nui-a-kiwa, “The Great Connector” of all Polynesia, linking the Pacific to Aotearoa. Our Pacific ancestors were unrivalled navigators who explored and extended the known bounds of the Pacific. Te Moana-nui-ā-Kiwa, the Pacific Moana, was one of the last areas of the earth to be explored and settled by humans. The early Pacific expansion took with it a meld of cultures and evolving languages.
