Why We Are Becoming Pacific Collaborative Futures

PCF has today announced a refreshed strategic identity and public‑facing name — Pacific Collaborative Futures — marking a significant shift in how the organisation positions itself across Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider Pacific region.

The change reflects PCF’s renewed focus on collaboration, capability‑building, and Pacific‑led innovation, and was endorsed unanimously by the Board.

“This work has helped us get excited again about PCF’s future,” said one trustee. “This clarity is exactly what was needed.”

A clearer identity for a changing Pacific system

PCF’s Vision and Mission remain unchanged. The repositioning is not a rebrand, but a strategic reset designed to make PCF’s role clear and compelling for a new generation of decision‑makers, funders, and regional partners.

The refreshed identity strengthens PCF’s ability to articulate its unique role as an independent connector, catalyst, convener and influencer across the Pacific region.

“The repositioning made everything click,” said another trustee. “It clearly shows what PCF does, why it matters, and where it is uniquely positioned.”
